Having an event? Great! I am excited as much as you are. I would like to be a part of making your most valuable day, an enticing, fun and unforgettable one. Allow me to tell you a little about myself.
My enthusiasm for events just came to me at the right time as my graduation from University was approaching. Although I participated in a lot of events for school projects this time it was different. It was more intense. I remember attending a wedding in Nasugbu, Batangas which literally took my breath away. I thought it was such a solemn, enchanting, magical moment, one of the prettiest things I have ever seen. A simple ceremony at a small church but beautifully decorated. Butterflies were released in to the air as the bride walked down the aisle to the romantic song of God gave me you. The exchange of vows was full of affection and compassion. I was even more astonished when we got to the reception, the aroma of fresh flowers was just all over the place, the whole venue and tables were filled with crystal decors, the food was so scrumptiously delicious and the fireworks were colorfully pleasing to the eye. That very moment I felt a buzz in me and I just knew events was where I was heading for.
During that wedding in Nasugbu, I was doing my internship at a hotel in Quezon City, were I assisted the Sales Banquet Coordinator. We were in charge with all the social events. From wedding receptions, to debuts, to anniversaries, to baptisms, to proms, to reunions, to shower parties and so on. My four months stay there gave mea lot of useful insights particularly when dealing with clients and their wants.
As a freelance model in my teenage years up to my early twenties, I was part of a few pageants such as Miss Manila, Miss Fort Ilocandia, Miss Herway, and some local TV pageants like Magandang Tanghali Bayan’s “Oh Zo Sexy” and “Ms. Global Pinay” were I reached the grand finals. I also participated in bikini competitions and Fashion shows. Being a model I also tried my luck in acting were I appeared in quite a few TV shows in GMA network and a movie, ”So Happy Together”. Some known companies I did print ads for were Fuzion smoothie café and Cd Jeans. I was also a member of a dance group, the “Sexy Bulls” who danced for the PBA Redbull Team during halftime. Thanks to my training as a Cheerleader at FEU.
In my modeling years, I ventured on producing a fashion show with my co-model, now one of my best friends and successful caterers in the Philippines, Kristine Dianne Magbanua were we showcased a branded lingerie. The show was a success though we only hit break even!
There came a point in my life were I felt my modeling career wasn’t progressing much, that I decided to return to Australia in 2007, to seek for better opportunities. After all Sydney is my second home. I started working at a well known gelato store which we now have here in the Philippines, called Gelatissimo. After eight months as a service crew, I opted to take a Business course at TAFE, a school that offers vocational courses. My goal at that time was to study at a university but due to unexpected circumstances, I came back to the Philippines and decided to finish my BS Tourism management course at Far Eastern University instead.
For many years I have accompanied my Other Half to his shows were we get the chance to travel and meet different people. As an entertainer he sings, hosts and throws in a great sense of humor at the same time. I guess he had a larger impact to what I now call my passion. To top it off I was lucky to meet my partner and founder of K Events,
Ms. Ana Kristine Montecillo-Lu were we shared some years of good friendship until we discovered we could pull things off together and dream bigger for the company. I have assisted her in quite a number of her own events. Our goal is to make our services a hundred times better than before, one that is creative and absolutely satisfying.
